About

I started my career as a journalist, a series of adventures that sent me from the inner-city in New Jersey to the world of Pentecostal preachers in Texas to the jungle in Guatemala.

Along the way, I wrote a story about a minister with a 7-foot-long pet python named Satan…took it all off for a Native American sweat lodge…got Goldie Hawn to spill the beans about the first time she and Kurt Russell got it on…and reported on an apparition of the Virgin Mary in a backyard near the NJ Turnpike, among many other experiences.

I think my two sons still don’t believe their mother did such things.

My life is significantly tamer these days. But I still love a good story. And since I dived headlong into the internet as early as possible in the 1990s, I am a digital storyteller who gets the web from the inside out.

I’m also: a mom, a wife, a friend, a frustrated gardener (the deer keep eating my plants), a great cook, a home fanatic, a wannabe physical fitness guru (I work out with a trainer, do Pilates, and am very active…but you can’t tell by looking at me), a writer, a sentimentalist (ask my kids), a mentor, a listener, a cat-lover, a reader.

I’m also New Yorker by way of a Pennsylvania childhood, which means I can kick your ass but I’ll be nice about it.
